On a trip to Boston I was able to see my first boss and now dear friend, Tom Kershaw, the owner of the Townehouse in Boylston Street. It was the first place I ever spun RECORDS as a DJ and started me on my career in music!
Every major record promoter and radio and club DJ came there to hear what was bring played.
It was here that I started my dream of publishing a dance chart for New England which started out by writing songs I played on napkins and matchbooks and eventually became Nightfall Magazine.
Oh, by the way, the Townehouse was located above a little English pub where we played darts till 3AM and which was called the Bull & Finch and you might all recognize as the location of TVs hit comedy, CHEERS!
